Swimsuit for a Cause

Way back in elementary, I always find joy whenever we have donation drive for our less fortunate brothers and sisters during Christmas season. I remember saving my allowance to buy canned goods or chocolate and then I would go to school early and put it under the Christmas tree at our classroom. And as I get older, if I have the means, I try to give back to our community especially if there are calamities. I also find ways to support my friend’s charity events. They have organized activities to raise funds for Noche Buena package, Christmas party for Special Education kids, Tsinelas Project and a lot more. And just last month, my good friend Nikka tagged me in her FB post – Swimsuit for a cause.

Summer time is fast approaching, it actually arrived early this year, around February. It’s time to hit the pool and beaches. I told myself that I won’t be buying new bathing suit this year. But when I saw Nikka’s post, I didn’t let it pass. I was ecstatic because not only am I getting new swimsuits, I am also able to help her cause. She is selling the swimsuits for Php 149 or $3 each. You can also buy 3 for Php 300 or $6. She is raising funds as early as now for her annual back to school project. All proceeds will be used to buy bags, crayons, pens, pencils, notebooks etc. The swimsuit comes in different colors and styles. My sister and I had a hard time choosing which ones we will be purchasing. By the time we were to place our orders, the ones that we chose were already sold out. But that didn't stop us to push our orders.

Last week, I joined Nikka's family when they went out of town for a swim. I was excited to pick up the swim wears. She reminded me to bring pads for the bathing suit. Since these are unpadded and free size (fits small to medium). But if you are comfortable to wear it without pads, by also means you may do so.

Each item also comes with its own plastic envelope (plus points can be used again to put in your wet swimsuit).

These are the items that I got:

I cant wait to wear the rest of the swim wears that I got this summer. If you also wanted to help by buying this cool swimwears - click here. I'll end this with Nika's quote - "Share the love and be hot this summer."
