Unboxing The Balikbayan Box

After a month of delay from the original ETA, the balikbayan box, that my bff – Denn sent, was delivered last March 4 around 10pm. (No bueno for you - Atlas Shippers, for several missed connecting vessels and no compensation for the inconvenience that they have caused to my friend) Finally, I get to hold the items I ordered at online US shops and gifts from the Guevarra family. 😊

This box is actually for our other friends :)

From the last time we checked Atlas’ website the new ETA was Feb. 28, it was supposed to arrive Manila port on Feb. 4. I called Atlas on the 28th and I was informed to wait for 2-4 business days for customs to release the parcels. On March 3rd, I called Atlas again and was told that the parcels will be dispatched the following day. Technically, I did not unbox the balikbayan box, I had to have my parents pick up the items that I purchased and the gifts to me and my other friends, to the person to which the boxes were delivered. And here are the products that I got from the balikbayan box.

Around last week of September, I received a $25 gift card to test out a website for a universal cart. I bought a birthday gift to Denn’s youngest kid and some makeup accessories at Walmart.

At the beginning of November, Denn told me that Ulta will be having a month long Black Friday deals, and asked if there is anything that I wanted to buy. So, I checked the online catalogue. I told her to buy me 10 Mac matte lipsticks (5 Russian Red and 5 Velvet Teddy). I bought that much because I thought of selling it. My dear friend is so generous, aside from not asking me nor my friends to contribute for the shipping fee she also send us gifts. She would ask our group if there is anything that we like if she has budget she will buy it for us. Sometimes, if she sees a product and deems that it is suitable for us, she would just buy it for us.
