Kamayeño Grill Unlimited Wings Experience

After planning so many times to try the Kamayeño Grill Unlimited Wings, finally I was able to try it last December 27 with my sister and cousin. ₱199 or $4  for unlimited wings(9 flavors), unli rice and 1 iced tea.

Their store opens 4 pm, we were there around 5:30 pm and #2 on the wait-list. (Tip: You need to be there earlier than there opening, the wait list most of the times can be long. We were just lucky that day.) There are chairs for those waiting.  We are smiles but the anticipation is killing us, since we can hear the other customers who are already enjoying their chicken wings. After waiting thirty minutes, we were called to be seated.

Once you are in, the first step is to go the cashier, tell them that you are availing of unlimited wings and pay. You'll be asked by the cashier of the first three flavors that you would like to eat - we got Korean BBQ, Garlic Mayo and Chili Cheese. There are available plastic gloves at the counter. My sister and I got three pairs and went back to our table.

We were first served with rice and iced tea. After almost ten minutes, our first batch of chicken wings arrived. We quickly devoured the chicken wings. I like the garlic mayo the most on this batch while my sister and cousin did not like. They said it tasted extra sweet mayo. I love cheese but I do not like the combination of the chili cheese and the chicken wings. Its like putting cheese spread on your chicken. While the Korean BBQ, I find it a little bit salty.

Their iced tea, it's like colored water. Its better that they remove the iced tea on their set, since its only one serving and not good quality.

For our second batch, we had Honey BBQ, Spicy Buffalo and Garlic Butter. My cousin also had second order of rice.The serving time for this one was less than five minutes. We also discard the plastic gloves. We opted to use our hands instead. They have a wash area, however their liquid hand soap is super watered down. It does not even lather. Don't worry, they also have spoon and fork.

I love the Spicy Buffalo, it is quite spicy. I feel that it burns my throat, good thing, it is also very savory. Honey BBQ as I expected is sweet and tangy, which I like as well. The Garlic Butter is buttery and no hint of garlic flavor.

After our second order, my sister and I already felt a little bit full. But we still had another order, we got Teriyaki, Gravy Chicken and Korean BBQ. We ditched the Classic flavor. (Tip: You can also skip ordering the Gravy Chicken, nothing special.) Teriyaki is milder version of Korean BBQ, which I like better.

For this third set, my sister and I were already dragging ourselves to finish all of our chickens because we were already full. If we are able to finish it, we have to pay for the leftovers. My cousin still had one last order of Spicy Buffalo. He could have eaten more, had the second to last chicken that he had was fully cooked.

                           We wouldn't be smiling this much if we did not enjoy our food.

Overall we were satisfied with the food, service and ambiance of Kamayeño Grill. For the price point it is worth it. Some restaurants charged the same price for two pieces of chicken.
